Position: Senior Events

Jeslin Facts:

It is Jeslin’s second year being a part of K-Wave.
Fun fact, Jeslin is her full name!
She likes cooking, writing, and especially likes going to concerts.
She is good at making kimchi jjigae and pasta.
She is really good at eating spicy food.
Jeslin is 2nd gen stan.
She is a casual album and merch collector.
She can binge a whole K-Drama in one sitting.
Jeslin got into K-Culture when her cousin put Girls' Generation's songs into my mom's old phone.
Her favourite artists are Girls' Generation, GOT7, Seventeen, VIXX and WJSN.
Her ultimate biases are Girls' Generation’s Yoona, WJSN’s Eunseo and Block B’s P.O.
Her favourite K-Dramas include Extraordinary You, Law School, Scarlet Heart, Because This Is My First Life and Tomorrow With You.
Jeslin’s first Kpop concert was EXO in 2014.
In Yoona’s Singapore fanmeet, Jeslin cried so hard that Yoona herself gestured her to stop crying when she passed by.
In a short chat with Jeslin’s bias Seventeen’s The8, she got so nervous that she ended up telling him she forgot the speech she has prepared.

Sophia Facts:

This is Sophia’s second year being a part of K-Wave.
She likes gaming, watching K-drama, and exploring cat cafes!
She got into K-Culture through her friend who loved to blast EXO songs in elementary school.
Sophia’s current favourite artists include Jo Yuri, IZ*ONE, ZEROBASEONE, LE SSERAFIM and ITZY.
Her ultimate bias is Jo Yuri.
IZ*ONE will always be Sophia’s ultimate group, and she collects all of Jo Yuri's photocards and merch!
Her favourite K-dramas are Vincenzo, Hometown Cha Cha Cha, W Two Worlds and The Heirs.
Sophia has been to Red Velvet’s and SEVENTEEN’s concerts in Vancouver, and also G-IDLE’s in LA!
She is looking forward to attending ITZY's concert in Boston and BLACKPINK in Hamilton.
She also saw Lee Min Ho in Steveston when he was filming for his drama!
Sophia is a huge fan of Korean makeup and clothing styles, she is strongly influenced by their simplistic style and her entire Instagram feed is full of different inspiration posts.

Ryenne Facts:

Ryenne has been a part of K-Wave since August 2022.
It is Ryenne’s second year being a Junior Events Executive
She is currently majoring in Anthropology and minoring in East Asian Language and Culture.
Although everyone says that makgeolli is an old man's drink, Ryenne still loves it.
Ryenne will be going on exchange to Korea in term 2 of the 2023-2024 academic year.
Ryenne’s hobbies include binging mangas, being picky about boba, inconsistently vlogging, K-beauty & fashion, and cooking for her friends.
Ryenne’s specialty is making a scarily good impression of Lois from Family Guy.
She excels at rolling kimbap.
She is obsessed with lip tints and has collected 20 lip tints so far.
Ryenne first got into K-Culture back in 2017 when she watched a YouTube video analyzing Red Velvet’s Russian Roulette MV and becoming obsessed with the song.
Her favourite artists include NCT, TAEYEON, Red Velvet, BAEKHYUN, Sam Kim, Colde, BIBI, wave to earth, SE SO NEON, aespa, Crush, and SEVENTEEN.
Her ultimate biases are NCT’s Jaemin and Winwin, and Red Velvet’s Seulgi.
Her favourite K-Dramas are Mr. Queen and My Roommate is a Gumiho, as well as anything that has a good mukbang scene.
At NCT DREAM’s Seattle concert, Ryenne queued for 12 hours, got to stand in front of the barricade, and interacted with the members multiple times.
However, her phone died at the beginning of the show, so she does not have photographic evidence.
Ryenne has also been to two BTS concerts and one SEVENTEEN concert.

Manaka Facts:

Manaka has been a part of K-Wave since September 2023.
It is Manaka’s first year being a Junior Events Executive.
Manaka is currently majoring in Sociology.
Her hobbies include sleeping, listening to music, watching K-Drama, and playing with her dog.
Manaka is highly interested in K-fashion trends.
She is massively addicted toTikTok.
Manaka got into K-Culture with BTS’ Idol era, but she has been a casual listener since 2011 with Girls’ Generation’s MR.TAXI and KARA’s STEP because of her parents’ influence.
Her favourite groups are TREASURE, EXO, SEVENTEEN, and NewJeans.
Manaka’s ultimate biases are TREASURE’s Haruto, SEVENTEEN’s Mingyu, and EXO’s Chanyeol.
Her favourite K-Dramas are Queen for Seven Days, The Red Sleeve.
Her favourite variety show is Knowing Brothers.
She has been to TREASURE’s concert in Japan.

Andrew Facts:

Andrew has been a part of K-Wave since September 2023.
It is Andrew’s first year being a Junior Events Executive.
Andrew is currently majoring in Nursing.
Andrew’s hobbies include playing video games, watching anime and K-Dramas, and working out.
Andrew’s caffeine tolerance is way too high from working at Starbucks that he can drink 4 espresso shots and still feel tired.
He complains about feeling tired after sleeping 8 hours but can function perfectly normal after sleeping 5 or 6 hours.
He got into K-Culture back in 2018 when stumbling upon a TWICE song that was used in a gaming montage YouTube video.
His favourite groups are TWICE, SEVENTEEN, and LE SSERAFIM.
Andrew’s ultimate bias is TWICE’s Jihyo.
His favourite K-Dramas are Dr. Cha, When the Camellia Blooms, and Crash Landing on You.
He has been to SEVENTEEN, BLACKPINK, and ITZY’s concerts, as well as getting floor tickets to TWICE’s concert.
Andrew loves going to K-pop concerts and will sell his soul for floor tickets.
Andrew went to the SEVENTEEN cafe popup in Korea in May. He waited on the waitlist from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., but it was worth it.
Andrew stumbled upon woo!ah! and Paul Kim performing live in Korea.

Katrina Facts:

Katrina has been a part of K-Wave since January 2024.
It is Katrina's first year being a Junior Events Executive.
Katrina enjoys dancing, especially K-pop and hip hop.
Aside from K-pop, she also enjoys anime, playing games, rapping and many more.
Katrina
got into K-Culture in elementary school when she was first exposed to BTS.
Katrina's current favourite artists include TWICE, GOT7, aespa, and Tomorrow X Together.
Her ultimate biases is TWICE's Nayeon.
Her favourite K-dramas are Voice, The K2, Crashing Landing on You, and Her Private Life. She believes that she has never watched a bad K-drama.
Katrina attended a Jackson Wang concert before and saw his abs in real life!
One of Katrina's favourite Korean food is Korean Fried Chicken.

Madison Facts:

Madison has been a part of K-Wave since January 2024.
It is Madison's first year being a Junior Events Executive.
Madison is currently majoring in Marketing.
Madison enjoys spending all her money on Korean beauty and clothes, sleeping till 2pm on weekends, and learning new dances from Tiktok.
In her free time, she enjoys editing cute vlogs for her Youtube.
Her favourite things to do include going to karaoke and taking hundreds of photobooth pictures.
Her number one favourite food in the world is bubble tea.
Madison got into K-Culture in 2020 when she stumbled upon What is Love by TWICE.
Madison’s current favourite artists include NewJeans, ZEROBASEONE, LE SSERAFIM, and IVE.
Her ultimate biases are IVE’s Wonyoung, Enhypen's Jay, Cha Eunwoo, and NewJeans' Hanni.
Her favourite K-dramas are 20th Century Girl and Twinkling Watermelon.
Madison was able to meet ZEROBASEONE at an offline fansign in Korea and will never stop talking about all the members visuals.
She has yet to attend a K-pop concert but is dying to get the chance to soon!

Sylena Facts:

Sylena has been a part of K-Wave since January 2024.
It is Sylena's first year being a Junior Events Executive.
Sylena is currently majoring in Theatre Design and Production.
She enjoys eating, sleeping, and go-karting.
A fun fact is that she is the same heigh as Chaeyoung!
Sylena got into K-culture from the Korean friends she made when she attended an international elementary school.
Sylena's current favourite artists include CAMO, pH-1, and BTS.
Her ultimate biases are CAMO and BTS's V.
Her favourite K-dramas are Lovestruck in the City, Thirty-Nine, and Goblin.
She went to pH-1's concert in Seattle once and really enjoyed it.
One of her favourite parts of K-culture is the diversity of genres found within K-pop.
